Tom's TrekEdinburgh to London Diary Please click here to go back to diary start page Day 3 - Wednesday 22nd September 2010At the end of the third day we are spending the night with one of our very hospitable donors. We are about 55 miles south of Edinburgh. Neither of us are on the point of collapse but delighted to stop! Jane walks fast and with grace, I walk like a crab, both unblistered so far. Harry the driver is clearly a re-incarnation of Mary Poppins. He is hugely attentive and looks after all the admin and warns oncoming cars we are staggering on the road ahead. Whenever I am tempted to stop I recall the advice of an old buddy who, when he heard about our undertaking, suggested that to spur my steps that I might imagine that the Serbian army was on our heels! Our poor staffie with the broken shoulder sits in our car like the Queen of Sheba. Untill the next time
